Silverleigh Care Home

Silverleigh is an outstanding care home, situated at the heart of a thriving community in a quiet street in the centre of Axminster, Devon (Southwest England). There is access to local amenities within easy walking distance including the church, library, post office, a variety of shops, doctors surgery and a pharmacy.

Silverleigh is registered for 65 residents. There are 4 double rooms available and each room has a 24 hour call bell system. Only two rooms are not en-suite. There are two passenger lifts and 1 stair lift.

Homely welcoming atmosphere perfect for meeting family members and socialising

The atmosphere at Silverleigh is once again homely and welcoming with many different communal areas, some large and some smaller, which are perfect for quiet reflection or meeting with family members. The décor in all the areas is stimulating and creates opportunity for memories, reminiscence and enjoyment. We have a bespoke Hair Salon, a Sensory Room, a General Store, a garden room which is called The Potting Shed, a Reading Room, a Snug Inn, two café areas one called The Carnaby Street Café and the other called The Railway Carriage and a Sun Lounge with a bespoke dance floor for afternoon tea dances. There is also a large comfortable lounge area with dining tables as well as seating for all day relaxation and this area leads out onto the wonderful garden.

Stunning gardens open all year round

The garden at Silverleigh is stunning. We have created an exciting and stimulating area for the residents to enjoy. It is an all year round space which connects the internal living space with the external, providing both a visual and sensory environment for every resident to enjoy.

Silverleigh also has a mini-bus for taking the residents on regular outings and a wheelchair accessible car.
